Calligraphy in Color: Performance and Workshop by Japanese Artist Rihaku Inoue
We are pleased to introduce Rihaku Inoue to San Francisco for her first live calligraphy demonstration. Join us for an evening of visual stimulation as she preforms her calligraphy through movement on a massive canvas. Following her demonstration, Rihaku will lead a workshop for attendees to create their own works of art. Rihaku actively promotes her work through solo exhibitions, workshops and demonstrations in overseas. Her style is a refreshing take on traditional Japanese calligraphy, incorporating color and acrylic paint techniques. See some of Rihaku's work on Instagram: Whether you were captain of the school's shodo club or have no idea what a Japanese calligraphy brush looks like, Rihaku's contemporary visual art provides a little something for everyone.
