Nazaré: da praia do Norte à praia do Salgado

This is a one-way trail that runs 16.25 km in length with a maximum elevation gain of 368m. It is considered easy. Depending on how many people are joining, we will coordinate cars to make a shuttle from the end back to our starting point. Alternatively, we can share the cost of an Uber back. We'll plan to stop in Nazaré for a snack as part of our journey.

This is an unmarked linear trail that starts at Praia do Norte and ends at Serra da Pescaria, after ascending the Salgado slope; - This trail runs along the coastline, passing by the Fort of S. Miguel Arcanjo, the Sítio da Nazaré viewpoint, the elevator and historic center, Nazaré beach, the São Gião wetland, the São Gião farm and chapel, the agricultural area, the beach and the Salgado slope; - Relaxed trail, with only a steep uphill slope at the end (Salgado hillside). Highlights include the phenomenal panoramic view of the west coast, with special emphasis on the swell caused by the "Nazaré canyon".
