Silvers is a project of dinners hosted by the senior generation, to give people access to their authentic stories and knowledge. Based in Copenhagen and now also in Aarhus.
Every Silvers Dinner is hosted by someone who has lived a full life and wants to share the wisdom they’ve earned.
Now, they open their homes for a few guests at a time to share a homemade meal and life inspiration.
Book a ticket on our website, average 6-8 people join each dinner.

Silvers Dinners Wednesdays: A Syrian Grandmother's Kitchen with Youssra

Youssra grew up in Syria in a home where cooking was at the center of everything. She moved to Denmark as a youngster and spent most of her life working as an English teacher while raising a family - always in the cooking business and always taking care of people.
When she was in her 60s, she decided to follow the thread that had been there all along. She started her own catering business, Youssra's Kitchen, and now cooks full-time from her kitchen, often with music in her ears and the door open.
Youssra has a beautiful way of speaking; she's full of stories about food, migration and resilience, and now she wants to open her kitchen to share them.

Here in Copenhagen we have started a movement of weekly dinners (on a Wednesday) hosted by the senior generation in their own homes.Seniors with 60+ years of life experience who are community leaders, intellectuals, artists, storytellers, and want to share their experience over dinners for a small group each time.
Every Wednesday there is dinner hosted by a different Silver (senior host) who will open their front door, welcome a group of 5-8 people into their home, and share their stories, knowledge, and connections across the table over a themed evening.
Each host chooses their own theme and it is the aim to pass on their hard-earned knowledge.

Each host chooses their own theme and it is the aim to pass on their hard-earned knowledge.

This week the host is: Karen!Karen Blincoe PhD, has spent over 30 years working at the highest level of sustainability, education and design. She has pioneered sustainability initiatives such as founding the ICIS Center, and co-founder of Chora 2030 in Denmark, and has been Director of Schumacher College in Devon UK. She published her book: Achieving Sustainability: The Ultimate Human Challenge in 2022, and helped shape national agendas.
But what stands out is her presence: Clear, generous and brave as ever.
Looking back on her life, she says: “Everything I was exposed to in childhood - the stories, the nature, the learning environment - became a foundation for a life of education, culture and sustainability.“
But that life did not unfold in a straight line. Karen always followed her intuition, and that led her to places she could never have planned.An evening of good food, sharp insight, and honest conversation, and new people!

Silvers Dinners: Share your Hobby with Lisbet and Michael
Location not specified yetLisbet and Michael organize a concept dinner for 8 guests at their home in Hørsholm, focusing on hobbies: what we build, make and do when we are fully in flow.
Lisbet Madsen built her career as a senior consultant and international team leader in global companies including Shell, Unilever and IBM. She worked throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia, advising management teams and leading complex transformation processes. Today she exhibits ceramics and visual arts: a continuation of her desire to create and communicate with precision.
Michael Regnarsen spent nearly two decades at IBM, specializing in systems architecture, requirements analysis, and application development. Known for his structured thinking and long-term approach, he now applies the same principles to the restoration of classic mahogany boats: a practical hobby based on patience, craftsmanship and engineering logic.Tickets here: www.thesilvers.dk
