Here in Copenhagen we have started a movement of weekly dinners (on a Wednesday) hosted by the senior generation in their own homes.

Seniors with 60+ years of life experience who are community leaders, intellectuals, artists, storytellers, and want to share their experience over dinners for a small group each time.

Every Wednesday there is dinner hosted by a different Silver (senior host) who will open their front door, welcome a group of 5-8 curious people into their home (all ages), and share their stories, knowledge, and connections across the table over a themed evening.

Each host chooses their own theme and it is the aim to pass on their hard-earned knowledge.

This week the host is: Karen!

Karen Blincoe PhD, has spent over 30 years working at the highest level of sustainability, education and design. She has pioneered sustainability initiatives such as founding the ICIS Center, and co-founder of Chora 2030 in Denmark, and has been Director of Schumacher College in Devon UK. She published her book: Achieving Sustainability: The Ultimate Human Challenge in 2022, and helped shape national agendas.
But what stands out is her presence: Clear, generous and brave as ever.
Looking back on her life, she says: “Everything I was exposed to in childhood - the stories, the nature, the learning environment - became a foundation for a life of education, culture and sustainability.“
But that life did not unfold in a straight line. Karen always followed her intuition, and that led her to places she could never have planned.

An evening of good food, sharp insight, and honest conversation, and new people!
