Learn to Fish & Picnic @ Simi Hills Pond
Details
Please read ALL of the information.
Want to try something new but don't know what? Well, this is your opportunity to cast out and try something! Fishing is not just about catching; it's also about meeting new people and enjoying your local outdoors. Although catching something is awesome, I will admit.
This is not your grandpa's fishing, where you will sit in a chair the whole time with a Bud Light and sleep. It's an engaging experience. You will learn how to cast, tie knots, learn about wildlife, and meet new or old friends. You will be fishing on a 2-acre pond that has Largemouth Bass, Sunfish, Carp, or Catfish.
Gear will be provided by the host, Chris, who will also be teaching you. Chris's experience spans many years, and he has worked professionally in the fishing charter industry, meaning his job was to teach people how to catch their fish of a lifetime.
This is also a picnic; if you want to bring something to share, feel free. Also, feel free to bring your dog and keep them leashed, please.
Parking: Park along the pond side of the road; you can do a U-turn; otherwise, you will have to park in the golf course lot and walk a long way.
Important Info!
1. You do NOT need a fishing license.
2. You do NOT need to bring anything but a good attitude, except water, sunscreen, and a hat.
3. Will we catch anything? Maybe, but I can't guarantee anything.
4. Do I have to touch worms? No.
