Introduction to Studio Lighting Workshop
We'll discuss and set up studio strobes and lighting modifiers such as softboxes, beauty dishes, reflectors, snoots, and grids. Also, we'll discuss use of light meters and proper camera settings.
Note: cameras require a standard hotshoe for the wireless strobe trigger.
After makeup, hair, and lighting prep, we'll take turns shooting the modelshttp://img2.meetupstatic.com/981263258369601089/img/smileys/smile.gif
Technically, this is a trade shoot - everyone works for free, collaborating to build portfolios. We're limiting it to 8 photographers, plus the hosts. The $120 goes to pay the studio.
Please PayPal $15 along with your meetup name to sales@simplestudiolighting.com to be added to the RSVP list (this helps reduce no-shows). Refunds only if the event is cancelled or rescheduled. Event will be cancelled if we do not get 8 attendees to cover the $120 studio rental.
As a trade shoot, photographers will be required to provide high-resolution images for the models and makeup artist's portfolios.
Parking: street meters or pay lots - on S Hill St, 9th St, or S Olive St. approximately $5.
