Simpleweb Challenge Hacknight: Secrets

Details
In a time when more and more data is being collected on all of us, when we distrust the systems that hold us together, it's more important than ever that we keep our secrets secret.
It’s also time to have a little fun.
We’re partnering with visual authentication providers PixelPin (https://www.pixelpin.co.uk/), and inviting attendees to create working prototypes or concepts for apps around the theme of “secrets”.
Whether you want to securely share data at work, protect your photos or mask yourself from CCTV, we’re inviting you to create the future of secrets.
Great apps aren’t just about tech, so as well as developers, we’re inviting all creative, business-minded and ideas people to get involved. Whatever your area of expertise, everyone is welcome.
This Simpleweb Challenge is sponsored by PixelPin - the awesome visual authentication solution, replacing passwords with pictures.
The challenge
We're challenging you to create the future of secrets...
Whether you want to help keep secrets between friends, keep hackers off your back or prototype the future of confidentiality at work, we want to see it!
The rules
We want The Simpleweb Challenge to be totally fair so we’re going to lay down a few ground rules…
No coding or creating mockups before the night - preparation is good, and you’re welcome to a bit of research beforehand, but you can’t have started on the code or mockups for your project until the night.
I know, I know, there’s not a lot of time, but at least we’re all in the same boat, eh?!
You can work in teams of up to 3 people. The winning team will take away an awesome prize (TBA).
At the Simpleweb Challenge YOU DON’T HAVE TO WRITE ANY CODE TO WIN! We’re offering two prizes - one for the best working prototype (be it app, website, widget or hardware hack) and another prize for the best idea (must be shown through mockups or wireframes, but no coding required).
Who can come?
Anyone’s welcome at the Simpleweb Challenge hacknight!
If you’re a developer, come code something cool and try to win the techie prize.
Not a developer? We recommend using Sketch (https://www.sketchapp.com/) or Marvel (https://marvelapp.com/) (both have free trials!) to prototype your idea. There’s a prize for the best idea!
What should I expect?
We’ll start the night with some homemade food followed by a super quick word from our sponsor.
After that it’s time to get hacking. You’ll have about 3 hours to work on your project. We’ll keep the drinks flowing throughout!
At the end of the night, each team will get a couple of minutes to show off their idea and vote for the winner(s).
Prizes will be revealed here a few days before the night!
