Join us for a month-long learning experience to demystify the crazy world of Web3. See past the nonsense to what Web3 really has to offer and learn some core skills in the process.
📖 We’re bringing together developers to collaboratively learn, build and share curiosities, doubts, ideas, and knowledge.
🤝 We’re creating a supportive and comfortable environment to learn and grow together.
Throughout the festival developers will be participating in a hack of the Open Format SDK exploring the powerful functionality it has to offer. There will be multiple prizes up for grabs.

03/10/22 - 16:00 BST - Welcome / Introduction to Web3 & Polygon
In this session we will introduce ourselves and give you an overview of what we have lined up over the next four weeks. Rahat Chowdhury, the Lead Developer Relations Engineer from Polygon, will be delivering a session introducing you to Web3 and the Polygon ecosystem.
04/10/22 - 16:00 BST - Workshop 1 - Introduction to Open Format
Code along as we show you how to spin up your own decentralised NFT marketplace using our Open Format NFT template in just 30 minutes.
05/10/22 - 16:00 BST - Workshop 2 - Deep dive into the features of Open Format
Building on the previous session, learn how to sort and filter your NFTs with our subgraph and sell each other's NFTs.
06/10/22 - 16:00 BST - Workshop 3 - Start from scratch
We will guide you through using our Javascript SDK to create an NFT platform from scratch.
07/10/22 - 16:00 BST - Workshop 4 - Start the hack!
You’ve seen how easy it is to get started, now it’s time to start the hackathon! In this session we will answer any questions and explore what you can build with Open Format over the coming weeks.
12/10/22 - 14:00 BST - Decentralised Storage - Intro to IPFS & Filecoin
Niki Gokani from IPFS & Filecoin will be introducing you to the core concepts of decentralised storage, how it can be used by builders and it's possibilities within Web3. There will also be an opportunity for discussion and Q&A.
26/10/22 - 16:00 BST - Community in Web3
Evi, the Community Manager at NFTUK, will be explaining the key principles and nuances of community in Web3, and her experience working with a variety of people and projects within the space.
04/10/22 - 16:00 BST - Winners Announced!

1. How do I attend the sessions? - ​​The sessions and workshop are going to be on Zoom, while support/announcements etc will be in Discord.
2. Do I need to understand Web3 development? - The festival is to introduce more people to the world of Web3, so no prior Web3 knowledge is required.
3. Can non-developers participate in the event? - We strongly encourage people outside of the programming field to join the event for more diverse teams and input. If you're concerned about a lack of experience, we're happy to help.
4. Can I participate as a solo developer? - Yes, if you are eager to learn about web3 development but don't belong to any agency, you can still sign up and learn together.
5. How much time do I need to spend on the project? - You can dip in and out of our learning sessions as you please however, it is important to agree on the development time with your team.
6. What is Open Format?- Open Format makes it easy to build your first Web3 application with our suite of SDKs, smart contracts and templates. You can learn more about Open Format by reading our documentation.
