Paddle the Lumber River, & Camping at Lumber River St. Park @ Chalk Banks

We're paddling the Lumber River & doing shuttles to different sections while we camp at Chalk Banks area of Lumber River State Park. I'm in site 3. There are several sites left as of tonight. They're primitive sites with only bathrooms, no showers. Potable water centrally located. I am driving down Friday morning, looking to set up tent quickly and maybe getting on the water by 1pm, do a 4 hr. paddle. Then paddle on Sat. & pack up Sun morning, paddle and go home after paddle. Chalk Banks camp ground is almost two hrs. from Durham. Weather's predicted to be mid-high 80s/day, mid 60s at night and BEAUTIFUL!!! Paddle: not sure what sections we'll do when, but probably a shorter one on Fri. , we'll talk about it once there.
