Let's Paddle Great Alamance Creek!

Details

Lets explore Great Alamance Creek starting from

Swepsonville Lower River Park Access
2472 Boywood Road, Graham
LINK - Lower Park Access

please arrive by 915, paddles wet at 930 (to try to avoid issues with small parking lot)

We'll start by paddling up Great Alamance Creek towards it's source Lake Mackintosh for 1.5 hours, then set a course back to put in. This might involve scooting over logs/rocks, so plastic (scratch-able)/ non inflatable boats are needed. we’ll stop somewhere for lunch, and have a somewhat relaxed sunday pace. optionally paddle a 1/2 up haw towards the end and check out the rocky area if enough water. the haw river paddle trail recommends 1.5’ min at haw for alamance creek, and level on friday morn is 1.75). limiting event size due to small parking lot.

1.You must wear a PFD (life vest) while paddling with SK.
2.Waterproof whistle is also required by law.
3.Bring sunscreen, water, snacks, sunhat, etc.

SK is a club for getting paddlers together, and can never be responsible for your safety or convenience.
More fun, less drama!
