Paddles wet at 9:30, so please arrive no later than 9:15. The water levels are probably still too low to make Little Beaver Creek accessible very far up, but it will be fun to explore around the shoreline of this finger of Jordan Lake. I'm allowing 4 hours, but with this location it would be easy to return earlier if you don't have that much time.

While the air temperatures will be beautiful, water temperatures are still quite chilly so please dress appropriately. Carrying a spare set of dry clothes in your kayak is highly recommended, no cotton.

Poole Road East is one of those roads that became a dead end when Jordan Lake was created, and you can still see the old asphalt surface as it disappears under the water. This launch site is on the eastern side of the lake, and you'd be coming from New Hill Olive Chapel Rd (not Beaver Creek Rd).

When you reach the end of the paved road, keep going onto the dirt road. Beware of the (drainage?) trenches that cross the road in two places and can be a problem if you're driving fast. You will reach a small parking lot at the end. On some map apps, entering Pierce Point might get you there.

Remember, Simply Kayaking is just a group of friendly kayakers, and is not responsible for your safety or convenience. More fun, less drama!
