NC State has been hosting free concerts on the Centennial Campus thru the spring. WE can paddle on the lake below, eat and listen, be entertained, whilst the hub-bub happens above us. Drop your boat at the ramp, then park on the street above-free parking, no ramp fee. If you park your car in the ramp/lake pkg lot before 5pm wk days, you should pay.

Cut into the southern side of Centennial Campus and surrounded by a protected forest, Lake Raleigh offers a picturesque retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Open to the public, this 75-acre lake features a fishing pier and boat ramp for non-motorized watercraft, such as kayaks and canoes.

Paddle: unload boats, park on street by 4:30, paddles wet 5:00pm. We'll proceed around the edges of the lake and make it back to the ramp area to hear the band/eat your dinner in the boat or get out and sit at picnic tables (there's a few, not many) to enjoy the music by 6-6:15ish.
Weather: far ahead, currently predicted to have scattered thundershowers for Raleigh, so check back here day of, cause, ya know, it could change.
Gear: Your usual PFD, whistle, H2O, food of choice, etc.

Remember: We're a group of folks gettin' together with friends, new and old, and you take full responsibility for yourself on the water. More fun, less drama ;- ) See ya there!
