reschedule to Sunday 31st due to heavy forecast rains for the 24th

Summer weather is unpredictable! Please check back here early morning for any change to plan.

This is a paddle for the more adventurous folks, who don’t mind squeezing through bushes, and portaging over a beaver dam or two. there are a few places to get out and stretch your legs, though we might end up having lunch in our boats. footwear that can handle some mud is a good idea.

it is one of my favorite NC paddles. probably not best for fragile boats, and we no longer invite inflatables to any of our SK paddles.

there are no functioning bathrooms, just the woods

GEAR: the water might still be chilly, and wearing non-absorbent clothing, and bringing a change of clothes in a dry bag is really always a good idea.

Please arrive no later than 945 am to unload, and be in the water by 10 am.
parking lot is small, and there may be some people fishing sunday, so i’m limiting attendance. please don’t sign up if you’re likely to cancel!!
(please get on waitlist and write in comments if you're coming with another member, and i might be able to increase attendee limit, since mostly based on # cars.)
