Relaxing morning on Lake Crabtree

Start your day before the heat is high: a relaxing paddle on a small lake close to RDU airport. No entry/ramp fee.
The boat ramp (https://maps.app.goo.gl/zq7qDNQC7yda4QTp7) is in Lake Crabtree County Park, 1400 Aviation Pkwy, Morrisville, NC 27560. Once in the park, drive to far end beyond the boat ramp to Sandy Beach kayak launch. Drop boat, parking is also there or just above the ramp (one way rd) area.
Lake Crabtree is undergoing changes: they're already logging the far east end to make way for development of a recreational entertainment area which will be a mix of bs. entertainment. restaraunts, etc. Wake Co. has renewed the County's lease of the Park property on 70 acres for another 20 years. But those changes will be highly noticeable on east end of lake.
Weather: predicted to be in high 90s, partly cloudy/sunny, with afternoon showers, so lets get out earlier and cooler.
Gear: the usual, PFD, sunscreen, hat, water, whistle.
