Cancelled - Lake Mackintosh paddle
Details
Paddles wet at 10:00 (arrive by 09:30, see below) to enjoy Lake Mackintosh in Alamance Co. Highlights include an old quarry, a tunnel under I-85/40, and maybe a pretty rocky area in the narrow part of Little Alamance Creek, if water levels let us get there. We'll paddle up 1-1/2 hrs, break for lunch or a snack and get back to the ramp by 2:00 or earlier. Red Oak Brewery doesn't open until 4pm, but if you want to bring a change of clothes and go there later, it's a nice place to visit, take in their sculpture garden, beer garden, maybe the fine art museum, but definitely enjoy their lager beer, pretzals, etc.
We will put in at:

Paddles wet at 10:00. Please give yourself sufficient time to check in/pay at park office (which can be busy), drive to ramp and unload (small beach area) then park in lot approximately 300 yds from ramp (it's a bit of a walk but not too bad)
