We try to paddle every fall on this gorgeous Merchants Millpond and go up stream it's main feeder Creek on Sat. and then hit up another cypress pond-Bennet Mill Pond-on our way home on Sunday. The St. Park still doesn't have their individual campsites open, but their non-electric group sites proved to be nice last year, so we've got site #1 reserved for our group (drive in, park & close to the bathroom).
Group site is 75$ a night, so i'm gonna charge each individual 10$ a night (not couples) they want to come, pay me via Venmo to get included, then if we get more then the minimum # of peeps to make that cost back, I'll reimburse you the difference via Venmo, sound fair?
Here's a copy-paste address for the St. Park for your preview pleasure for those that haven't been before: *https://www.reserveamerica.com/explore/search-results?searchTerm=Merchants%20Millpond%20State%20Park&type=nearby&contractCode=NC&facilityId=552813&afcc=NC&affi=552813* I would appreciate it if you don't cancel after reserving with me as it'll put burden on rest of group, So if you have to cancel please consider your payment as a donation to simply Kayaking. We appreciate you!! (Still a cheap fee for camping opportunity tho!! ;- D ) Venmo your 10$/night/person to:
