Let's take advantage of this wonderful autumn weather and enjoy a sunset hike to Tariffville Gorge in Simsbury Connecticut. We’ll begin the hike in the Tariffville section of Simsbury and follow along the Farmington river before we begin the ascent to the top of the gorge. Once we reach the top of the gorge we will relax and enjoy the wonderful view of the Farmington River and gaze upon the western sky and enjoy the brilliant sunset.
We will take a break once we reach the summit so please pack a snack, water, and enjoy the view. Please ensure you bring either a headlamp or a flashlight with you as the walk back after sunset may be a little dark on the trail.
No dogs or individuals under the age of 18. Below is a link where the trail begins in Tariffville. I will be in a bright orange Nissan rogue so look for me when you arrive to check in. Feel free to reach out at any time if you have any questions.
Depending on how many people sign up you may have to park across the street? Please arrive early as the sun is setting earlier and earlier... The hike begins at 5:30 PM sharp.
