今回のレッスンは、ロシア人バレリー・スピリドノフ氏のラブ・ストーリーです。

彼は脊髄性筋萎縮症という病に犯されており、スピリドノフ氏は、第1の頭移植の候補でした。
寿命も残り少ないとの診断を受け
人命を取り止める最終手段として、
任意で頭移植の試験体となるために
名乗りをあげました。

そんな中スピリドノフ氏はある女性との
出会いにより愛を見つけ、移植手術を断念しました。

しかし彼は脊髄性筋萎縮症により、
衰えて死ぬことには変わりない。

でも、スピリドノフ氏は、
別の生き続ける方法を見つけたのだ。

彼のストーリーには
人生の意味が込められていると思います。
死が迫っている闇の中から見つけた愛と
生存したいという人としての本能。
