In today’s data-driven world, maintaining a reliable audit trail is crucial for ensuring compliance, security, and operational transparency. This talk explores how to build a robust audit trail framework using Debezium’s Change Data Capture (CDC) capabilities and Kafka Connect. We'll delve into the fundamentals of CDC, the architecture of a real-time audit trail system, and best practices for capturing, processing, and storing change events. Attendees will learn how to integrate Debezium with Kafka Connect to monitor database changes seamlessly and implement a realtime audit trial framework. Whether you’re building a compliance-focused application or simply need to track changes in your systems, this session will equip you with the tools and knowledge to get started.

Bio:

• Zabeer has over 15 years of IT experience. He is passionate about real time data streaming, Event Driven Architecture, Cloud and DevOps. He has good experience in architecting event driven applications using Kafka, Kafka Streams, Kafka Connect and KSqlDB.

He is passionate about distributed computing and big data engineering.

You will learn about the fundamental concepts of Flink, including its architecture and core features, and the common use cases where Flink excels. The session will also explore how Flink, together with Kafka, helps you make the most out of your streaming data. Additionally, we will discuss common use cases where Flink excels, demonstrating its flexibility and efficiency in handling large-scale data streams

Shelvia Hotama is a Senior Solutions Engineer at Confluent. In her role, she assists organizations in overcoming challenges and fully leveraging the potential of big data and data in motion. She also brings extensive expertise in cloud technology from her previous experience as a Solutions Architect at AWS. Outside of her work, Shelvia enjoys contemporary dance, arts, and coffee.
