Hi everyone,

Thanks to all the people who joined the second hands-on session on Saturday. Third one is scheduled for 4th of September. See you all there :-).

Event Overview

In this two hour online session, we will tackle a small technical problem and solving it by writing the related tests and code for it. So please dust off your IDE/editor, put your favourite mechanical keyboard forward and get ready :-)

Exercise: Guess the number

Write a number game that has three levels of difficulty, that the user choses:

Between 1 to 10
Between 1 to 100
Between 1 to 1000

Then after the user the difficulty level, the program randomly select in the allowed range. Each time the user enters her guess, if the number is not correct the program guides the user by giving a hint of ‘low’ or ‘high’. After the user guess the number correctly, the program congrats user and give the number of guesses.

If we got more time
—————————
Based on number of guesses we provide further comments:

1 guess: “Perfect score”
2-4 guesses: “Very good”
3-6 guesses: “Not bad”
7 and above: “need to try harder next round! :-)”
