At Laza Spa, they offer an authentic Ethiopian and Eritrean wellness experience through their traditional Weyba / Tish Treatment, for a good full body detox.

Weyba / Tish (Gubtish) – Brief Explanation
A traditional aromatic smoke/steam bath shared by Ethiopian & Eritrean cultures, used for healing, beauty, and relaxation.
- Weyba: Refers to the fragrant, medicinal wood/herbs burned (often Maytenus senegalensis)
- Tish / Gubtish: The full ritual (“smoke bath”)
How it works:

  1. Body & hair are coated with clarified butter/honey
  2. Sits above smoldering Weyba + other herbs/wood
  3. Covered with blankets to trap warm, scented smoke/steam for 30–60 mins
    Benefits: Opens pores, softens skin/hair, eases muscle pain, post-childbirth recovery, boosts circulation.
