What we’re about

Welcome…
If you are single and looking to date, join us! Please note, that this group is NOT A HOOKUP SITE. Unsolicited contact is grounds for being banned (more details below).

Tired of Online Dating? We aim to create a welcoming atmosphere where you can meet other singles at social gatherings or fun events at various venues. At the very least, we hope to reduce isolation, have fun, make new friends, and maybe even help you find your next true love. Please remember to be courteous and respectful; forcefulness will not be tolerated.

This group is strictly for Singles only!  Now if you meet someone and are stepping forward in dating you don't have to drop out of the group but if you are married or in a true one-on-one commitment then this may not be the group for you.

### Group Information and Guidelines

Group Etiquette (Meeting & Messaging):

Please avoid sending messages through Meetup to people you haven't met in person. Inviting virtual strangers to meet outside of Meetup events can come across as creepy. However, messaging an event host is perfectly fine.

·         What we are NOT is a hook-up group and if anyone advances anyone inappropriately, they will be immediately removed from the group.  But this is a group for meeting and dating so if someone does ask you out, please don't be offended, however, be gracious in your decision and response to the question.

·         ALL profiles must have your picture as this helps us to determine who you are at events, and we hope it keeps scammers from joining. If you are new to the group, we will message you as a reminder to post your picture. Giving sufficient time and no picture is posted, will result in immediate removal of the group.

·         Sign up for ONLY the events you truly are going to attend.  This is important as when we book a venue we must give them a number count.  If you RSVP 3 times and you are a NO SHOW, you will be removed from the group.
Respectful Behavior (Is expected):

·         Respect is the cornerstone of any successful group setting. It's important to treat all members with kindness and consideration, valuing their perspectives and experiences. Always listen actively and speak courteously, avoiding any behavior that could be perceived as disruptive or disrespectful. By maintaining a positive and supportive environment, we ensure that everyone feels welcome, safe, and valued. This mutual respect fosters meaningful connections and a more enjoyable experience for everyone involved.

  • Negative or adversarial comments, posts, or actions will result in immediate removal and banning of the offending party.
  • Please refrain from advertising or displaying any business promotions, materials, or services online or during our events without prior approval from the organizers. This includes distributing flyers, handing out business cards, or discussing products and services. This also includes posting any events in which you make money or otherwise benefit from. Our goal is to maintain a comfortable and focused environment for all members. If you wish to share business-related information, please contact the organizers beforehand to ensure it aligns with our group's guidelines and values. Unauthorized advertising may result in removal from the group.

Safety and Reporting:

·         Report any/all disrespectful language or behavior directly to either Cece or Bruce.  They will determine should the person receives a warning or is immediately removed and banned from the group.

·         Organizers have the right to request any member for immediate removal from the group.  Respectfulness is something we expect and don’t take lightly when violated.

·         If you receive an unsolicited message or notice suspicious or inappropriate behavior, please report it to Cece or Bruce immediately. Such actions are grounds for dismissal and are likely spamming others in the group.

Email Cece:
·         Contact Cece @ goingsolonetwork@gmail.com

Money:

·         At this time, joining and participating in our group is free of charge. However, we gladly accept donations to help offset the costs associated with running the Meetup.

From time to time, there may be a small charge for certain events to cover various expenses related to the event and the group's activities. Your contributions ensure we can continue to offer enjoyable and well-organized events for everyone.

·         All members are responsible for their personal meeting expenses.  i.e. lunch, dinner, tickets etc.
