Note: This group is for women only.
Are you a woman in the Ottawa area, wanting to make friends with other women? Then this group is for you! All ages are welcome. And while the group is intended for single women, you are welcome if you're in a relationship, as long as you identify as female (or non-binary).
We'll have monthly social events like game nights, trivia, dinners, movies, walks in the park. There will sometimes be free masterclasses as well. Feel free to suggest other activities/events you may be interested in! Or contact Karen if you'd like to become an organizer.
Please note that the focus of this group is on making new female friends. It's not about dating. So sorry guys, women only in this group. Thanks for your understanding.
There is no age restriction on this group, other than that you must be an adult. We have people between the ages of 20 and 70+ (the largest number are in mid-life).
Don't be shy about joining an event, even if you're new. Remember, you're only "new" the first time you come. There are new members at every event, we're a welcoming group!
GROUP RULES
Here are the 3 small things we ask of our group members:
1. Please only RSVP if you are a true YES (not a maybe). Most of our events have a wait list, so if you say yes when you're not sure, it takes a spot from someone who is sure. Please mark it in your calendar once you commit.
2. If you RSVPed yes and can no longer attend, please update your RSVP as soon as you know, and no later than 48 hours before the event. Last-minute cancellations are unfair to the organizer, the venue, and the person who could have attended.
3. Please show your respect & appreciation for your Meetup organizers (who are giving of their time and energy for free), and for the staff of the restaurants/venues who host us. Remember to say thank-you, and a 5-star review of our group is always welcome! :)
Not respecting these rules will result in removal from the group.
Please provide this information to any friends you invite...if you're adding a guest, you are responsible for their RSVP also.
