Update:
From various groups, we have a fair size total event signups. So we are going to experiment with a group based format this time. We would have participants self-select into groups of 6~8 people, and may regroup and remix half way through the event, so everybody get enough chances to social with others. We would have one pair from each group to help with group coordination.

We are going to have our festival social at the coming Mountain View Oktoberfest on Sat., Oct 11th, in Mountain View downtown.
This year the Mountain View Oktoberfest is renewed on Castro street, between Church and Mercury street. For details, check out https://www.mvoktoberfest.com
The contests would start around 12:15pm, and once every hour. So we would meet between 12pm - 12:30pm, at the info booth, where I would be volunteering. You can arrive beyond those starting hours, I will send you looking for the group.
Yes, the festival has some newly opened volunteer positions, you can check them out at https://www.mvoktoberfest.com/volunteer As benefit, you would receive a beer stein, a drink ticket and a volunteer T-shirt. Post your shifts in the event discussion, since we are hosting the event with a few other groups, we may pay you a visit on the shift.
