Vacation Day 3: Saturday, July 4 - Independence Day After breakfast we'll walk over to Constitution Ave to secure our spot for America's best and biggest Independence Day Parade. The Parade consists of invited bands, fife and drum corps, floats, military and specialty units, giant balloons, equestrian, drill teams, VIP’s, national dignitaries, and celebrity participants. After the parade it is time for lunch and to load up our included picnic sacks. Then we'll walk over to the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol to get our piece of the lawn for the concert and to watch the flyovers. The annual concert at the Capitol Building begins at 8:00pm. The National Park Service and partners host a spectacular Independence Day fireworks show in the heart of the nation's capital. View a colorful fireworks display that will illuminate the sky using DC's iconic monuments and memorials as a stage. Vacation Day 4, Sunday In the morning included guided tour of Ford's Theater (President Lincoln’s assassination) and free afternoon after. Later is Farewell Dinner at a local DC restaurant. Let's make a plan to get out of town and Meetup!! This trip is an AMAZING Eastern European journey. It has all the best elements. The basic thumbnails are St Petersburg, Moscow, Warsaw, Krakow and Wieliczka. We will be visiting at the top of summer - a time called "White Nights" The sun never really sets. It's amazing!!! Add to this: We will be taking Night Trains from St Petersburg to Moscow and then from Moscow to Warsaw. This brings in the romance train travel of a bygone era. We start in St Petersburg. In Moscow we will have two full days to soak in the city with guided tours. (rsvp or message us to find out city specifics) After our fill of Moscow we make our way by Night Train to Warsaw.
