What we’re about
The purpose of this group is to connect people 55 years old and up who are single. This is an opportunity to meet others for friends, love and networking.
This group differs from other singles groups in that we emphasize being G.T.A (genuine, trustworthy and available) and also we have some requirements:
-be emotionally available
-looking for meaningful connections
-looking for long-term relationship
-looking for monogamy
-have space in your life for a special someone (good work-life balance)
There are 3 options for staying up-to-date on events (we will be moving from the Meetup platform in 2025):
1. Follow the page on facebook for updates "toronto gta singles" and join the group https://www.facebook.com/groups/4598240670401181
2. Click "follow" on Eventbrite to stay updated on our future events (lookup TorontoGTASingles" for our Eventbrite page).
3. Send an email to TorontoGTASingles@gmail.com and ask to be added to our mailing list. We have one for ages 55+ and one for the younger group under 55 years of age.
***Please when attending events, let us exercise kindness, patience and respect. Please read the entire description and F.A.Q of the event before attending.
FYI: Events are advertised on Facebook, Eventbrite, Meetup, BlogTO etc so the attendees will differ from those who have RSVP'd on Meetup.
IMPORTANT: Sometimes photos or videos are taken at events. Please let us know if we should avoid capturing images of you in our videos/photos if that is your preference.
A matchmaking service is being developed, feel free to send us a message and you will be notified when this service becomes available.
Shannon is the owner and organizer of this group, other members listed as event organizers are volunteers on the Meetup platform only and are not associated with the business and events unrelated to the 55+ group specifically.
