Hike in San Pedro Parks on the Palomas Trail #50

Details
The Palomas Trail #50 is located on the southern edge of San Pedro Parks. It starts out steep, then levels off to some pretty nice hiking, with great scenery. San Pedro Parks is a high mesa just east of Cuba NM. It reaches an elevation of a little over 10,000 feet, although I don't think we'll get that high on this hike. I plan on hiking about 10 miles round trip for this event. It' about 94 miles one way to the trailhead. The route is paved, except for about the last 5-7 miles which is normally good gravel roads. I expect an elevation gain of maybe 750-1000 feet. NO DOGS or WHINERS. I would rate this hike as MODERATE. Be prepared to reimburse your drivers at the rate of $.10 per mile round trip or about $20 for the day. I will probably stop at Bruno's in Cuba on the way home, so please feel free to join me. For more information, ask your questions below and I'll answer below. If you change your mind, make sure to take your name off the RSVP the day prior to the event or get a no show. We will depart the Target parking lot promptly at 8AM, if your late then try to catch us somewhere down the road.
