Hello my peeps. It seems like it's been forever. I miss you all and I hope you are all well, and thriving.
Please join me in a night of food, dance, and socializing for a good cause. As some of you know, I have been volunteering at HopeWorks day shelter since January. I am there four days a week, and have become fond of the staff as well as the people we serve. The day shelter is just that. A place people can go during the day till 4pm when they close. There is a soup kitchen (where I volunteer) that allows them coffee and pastries in the morning, and usually a hot meal for lunch. There is also a place they can get clean clothes and a hot shower. So if you have anything you would like to donate to the shelter, it will be 100% given to the people. I've donated shoes and clothing, as well as my time.
So this night all is about raising money for a well needed cause. They do a lot to help the homeless including connecting them to other resources that can further help them.
