East Mountain Hike : Lower Pine Trail+

Weather looks good for this hike/bike trail about 9 miles east of Tramway off I-40. Clear and 71 deg. for the high. Leader has explored 100% of this trail. Area is loaded with over 40 trails (see map) to enjoy. Not much in total elevation gain but lots of rolling ups & downs. So, we'll keep up a good pace for a decent workout except where any rises are steep. End of trail splits into Gear Grinder and Pinion trails, which we can explore if all want. This will be the 2 mile decision point where any can return to cars if you run out of gas or no longer enjoy my company. The rest of us will just take our chances with bears on Gear Grinder trail. Some may want to explore Pinion trail on their own and meet us back here an hour later. We can decide which trail looks best to explore. Dogs and Chuprecabras on leash OK.
