Hike in the Manzano's Trail #189

Trail #189 is located at Red Canyon Campground in the southern portion of the Manzano's. Our goal will be to reach the Crest Trail #170 and return. Hopefully weather will cooperate and we'll have some good Fall colors. Driving distance one way is around 60 miles. Most on paved roads but at the end it will be decent gravel I think? Most any vehicle should be able to make this trip. Hiking distance about 6-8 miles round trip. Elevation gain of about 1200 feet. I would rate this hike as MODERATE. NO DOGS or WHINERS. Dress for the weather and bring plenty of snacks and water for a long day of enjoying the outdoors. Be prepared to reimburse your drivers at the rate of $.10 per mile round trip or about $15.00 for the day. For more information, ask your questions below and I'll answer below.
