We'll hike southbound on the CDT for about five miles one way. This area has some nice rock formations and beautiful views of the Rio Puerco (?) valley as well as Cabazon. Driving distance one way is about 65 miles, all on paved roads except last 200 yards. Hiking distance of about 10 miles although you coud turn around anytime and head back to vehicle. Elevation gain is mayvbe 700 feet for the day. I would rate this hike as EASY. NO DOGS or WHINERS! Be prepared to reimburse your drivers at the rate of $,10 per mile round trip or about $15.00 for the day. For more information ask your questions below and I'll answer below. If you can't make it or change your mind take your name off the RSVP prior to meet up time.
