Hiking + Camping at Twin Lakes, near mt. Elbert

This year the snow surrendered to Spring early - let's go camping near Twin Lakes, just east of mt. Elbert! I will organize a bigger camping event on June 19-21 to celebrate the summer solstice, that will be at another lake. But let's open the camping season at the more familiar and easy to reach Twin Lakes.
This area is great for a variety of outdoor activities, with a couple camping options:
North side of lake:

• Hillside camping with gorgeous views of Twin Lakes
• Access to the mt. Elbert trailhead, so we can explore Colorado's highest mountain.
• Lots of mountain wildlife in the area: deer, large red foxes, mountain pika above treeline.

Southeast edge of lake:

• Lakeside camping
• ~2mile flat-ish hike to a cool historical house and the Interlaken resort.
• an MTB trail going around the entire lake.

Get in touch and I'll organize carpooling - I'll be driving from COS and can pick up 2-3 other people with camping/backpacking gear in my SUV, can also take up to 3 MTB on a bike rack.
I also have a few sets of camping/sleeping gear to lend to those who don't have their own, on a first-come-first-served basis.
