Christmas Charity Fun Run /Walk 6km, Letchworth

Join our Free Christmas Charity Fun Run (or Walk) on Sunday 21st December, supporting Marmalade Trust, the charity behind Loneliness Awareness Week.

This is our chance to come together, move our bodies, feel festive, and support an amazing cause.
Christmas can be a magical time, but it can also highlight loneliness for many. Marmalade Trust works to ensure no one feels forgotten, offering support to people experiencing chronic loneliness. You can read more about this incredible charity or donate directly via the JustGiving page

What’s happening on the day?
🕙 10:30 Start: A gentle 6km around Letchworth. ANY pace is welcome... walkers or runners.

Dress code: Festive vibes! Whether it’s a Santa hat or you’re going full-on Christmas pudding. There’ll even be a prize for the best dressed, so bring your A-game!

🫖 From 11:15am till 1:15pm, Social Cuppa
If you'd like to come for the social, please join us from 11:15 at our selected pub in Letchworth.

Why We're doing it
Loneliness isn’t just “feeling a bit on your own.” It’s a growing crisis. Did you know that…

• 85% of UK adults experienced loneliness in the last year.
• 44% felt chronically lonely.
• 500,000 older people go five to six days a week without seeing or speaking to anyone!
• Shockingly, 3.9 million older people say television is their main company. We can change that, one act of kindness, one conversation, one connection at a time.

This is personal for me. Having struggled with loneliness myself, and knowing how isolating it can be (especially around Christmas), I’m passionate about creating moments that bring people together. That’s what Be Dating Beautiful was founded on and it’s why supporting Marmalade Trust feels so close to my heart.

Let’s come together as a community, lift each other up, and make sure no one is alone this Christmas.
