What we’re about
I have been engaged for the last several years charting the history of autism in my mom's family back to its origin with the birth of Sarah Jane Barber in Coventry, Rhode Island in February 1851. Although I have literary ability, I am a total novice when it comes to both writing and organizing a major literary work. Also I have a complete inability to write believable dialogue. I am seeking advice and comradeship from more experienced writers who could offer assistance on how to present this material to the world in the best way. Also, when it comes to technology especially involving computers and the Internet I am completely dumb and overwhelmed by it and have no idea how to both use it and harness its power. There are also technological elements to the history such as the Fairmount Woolen Mill also known as the Adler Company where my family worked upon arrival in Cincinnati in 1878 and the lengthy committals of two of my ancestors to Longview Asylum and the equipment used there, both of these aspects I have serious difficulties understanding. I am seeking active assistance on how of these matters, and ultimately am seeking collaborators to assist with both the writing and technology parts of the finished several hundred page narrative which will be entitled "A Formless Wasteland.". Nothing of this scope has ever been attempted before. I myself am 1 of only 100 individuals in the world with the extremely rare Autism Savant Syndrome with a full photographic memory and genius level verbal IQ. If this project is successful, I only wish to give back by creating an organization called Singular Vision that will help other creative individuals on the Spectrum sponsor their artistic projects and have safe place where they could meet other creative neurodivergent individuals like themselves to befriend and collaborate with. All of your names will decorate my acknowledgements page. At our meetings we will throw around ideas, and begin formulating strategies to allow this major literary and historical survey to come about. I hope to make lasting artistic and personal relationships out of this as forming lasting personal bonds has been a real problem for me my entire life. I am especially interested in meeting specially those into writing, genealogy, historical research, and people with a good grasp of technology especially that regarding computers. I am especially interested in finding neurodivergent individuals who might have any of these skills and interests. Although I am getting a late start on this at 57, I have a significant literary career plan with at least five more major books and one screenplay planned in the future. My name is Chris and I thank you all for your time and consideration and very much looking forward to making your personal acquaintance. Have a most wonderful day!
