Have you checked your mental health lately - Discussion between Black Women

Details
I want to talk about a Black woman named Quita Cole. She died after working seven days a week. No days off. No rest. Just survival. Black women are dying because rest is still seen as a luxury. Because we’ve been taught that working ourselves to the bone is what strength looks like. Because capitalism rewards our exhaustion and punishes our peace. Kita Cole should still be here. And I don’t want any more of us to die trying to be everything for everyone. If you feel like you’re always on the edge, Please know: you don’t have to earn rest. You already deserve it
Black women face unique challenges to mental well-being, including racism, sexism, economic disparities, and the pressure of societal expectations. Studies show Black women are twice as likely to experience conditions like maternal mental health disorders, but half as likely to receive treatment compared to white women. Stigma within the Black community also plays a significant role, leading many to avoid seeking professional help due to fear of judgment or appearing weak.
