A workshop for writers!
Hosted by Ella & Persnickety Books
Thinking about self-publishing, but not sure where to begin?
In this casual, info-packed session, we’ll walk through the basics of self-publishing on Amazon—from finishing your manuscript to hitting “publish” (and what comes after).
We’ll cover:
- What you need (and what you don’t) to publish a book
- How Amazon’s publishing platform works
- Common myths, mistakes, and mindset blocks
- Practical tips for writing blurbs, choosing categories, and getting started
There will be time for questions, and no pressure to be “ready.” Just come to listen, learn, and hang out with fellow writers.
Come a little early to browse the shelves or grab a drink from the café counter—Persnickety has great vibes and even better coffee.
Cost:
Free to attend.
Suggested donation: $20 to support the Sip & Write group (optional and appreciated).
About Your Host:
Ella is the founder of Author Like a Boss and has been helping indie authors publish and market their books since 2017. She's coached hundreds of writers, hosted a top-rated podcast, and interviewed successful self-published authors across genres.
She’s also a published author herself—and still remembers how scary and confusing it felt to hit “publish” for the first time. Her goal is to make the process simpler, less overwhelming, and actually enjoyable for writers at every stage.
