Plot Trotters: Saturday Book Lovers' Walk

Calling all readers, writers, and book nerds! Join us for an easy Saturday morning walk with people who love books as much as you do.

We'll meet in front of Persnickety Books at 9:30 a.m. and set off for a 1–2 mile stroll while the shop is still closed. Talk about what you're reading, what you're writing, or which book boyfriend lives rent-free in your head.

We'll loop back to Persnickety right around opening time, so you can grab a coffee or a drink, browse the shelves, and maybe take home your next favorite read (no judgment on the size of your TBR pile).

All paces are welcome. This is a chatty walk, not a race.

What to bring: comfy shoes, water, and your book recommendations.

Writing Power Hour

If you're serious about getting words on the page, this is the perfect opportunity to kickstart your writing habit.

(We gave about 5-8 regulars who don't RSVP, but show up most weeks. There will always be a group.)

First, grab a drink! Then head upstairs!

Once everyone arrives, we'll briefly share what we’re working on. Then, we’ll set a timer and dive into our writing projects. Whether you’re working on a novel, memoir, or any other project, this time is all about productivity.

Bring your laptop, notebook, or whatever you write on. After the writing session, we’ll regroup to share what we accomplished and motivate each other for the next session.

Whether you’re an experienced author or just starting out, come ready to write and make progress on your goals.
