## West Coast Swing: No Ballroom, Just Barroom Fun!
Forget everything you think you know about formal dancing. West Coast Swing is blowing up, and it's nothing like ballroom. Think the sexy vibe of tango, but in a super approachable style that anyone can pick up. Seriously, it only takes three basic moves to get started, and you can learn them your very first night. I've been dancing for about 18 months, and if I can do it, you absolutely can too! If you're feeling a little shy, I'm happy to show up early and work with you one-on-one.
This isn't just about dancing; it's for a great cause. This event is a charity fundraiser for Boston Children's Hospital. It's organized by a couple who are among the best dancers in the world across various styles. They kick things off with a beginner's lesson, and then everyone hangs out, dances, and parties. Even if you've never danced a step in your life, come on down! Everyone is incredibly welcoming and will help you feel comfortable and confident on the dance floor. Plus, the drinks are super cheap!
I'll come up with something for our group to wear or an identifying marker so we can easily spot each other and tell who's with our crew. Just a heads-up: not everyone at the event will be single, but on the bright side, there will definitely be single people outside of our group too!
What to bring
Water and comfortable shoes. Sneakers are great to start off with
