What we’re about
As we get older it’s even more challenging to form new bonds. We may find ourselves holding on to our BFF and childhood friends although quite frankly we’ve outgrown each other. Or maybe life has taken us in different directions. Even in this digital era it's still difficult to meet real, down to earth, positive and drama free sistahs that we can call true friends.
I started this group to help black women connect with other ambitious and like-minded black women who are looking to find their tribe and true sisterhood. So many black woman are missing deep meaningful connections and true friendships. Even while living in a huge metro area like the DMV, they find it challenging to meet new friends and create lasting friendships. Friendships that are real, nourishing and supportive.
This meetup group is an opportunity to meet new Sistah Friends and connect at a deeper level. To have fun, camaraderie and connect with other high vibe, positive and driven black women. To have conversations about REAL issues. To share our stories and experiences in a way that fosters close bonds, meaningful connections and support.
The idea is that over time you’ll meet a Sistah Friend (or two) that you’ve been looking for. The one you can call to talk with (because sometimes you prefer real conversation over text). The one who will go with you to get your nails done. The one who will go with you to Yoga class. The one who will roll with you on that trip you’ve been wanting to take. The one who will come through in a pinch when no one else can.

How much does this sound like you?
You're single, working professional, busy mom or BOSS entrepreneur, etc...
Your days are filled with commitments, responsibilities and obligations…while the evenings are filled with more work, more responsibilities or mostly alone…
When you do have free time…usually there’s no one around so you go alone, skip it altogether, veg out on TV/social media or just catch up on some Zzzzzzzz’s…
Always the solo one at the event…
More introvert than extrovert…
Others including yourself keep saying you need to make some new friends…
Tired of trying to meet friends online and weed through the drama, sane, real and genuine people…
New to the DMV area...
If any of those sound like you then, you're in the right place. Keep reading.
