Sisterhood Between the Pages is a welcoming book club where we read and discuss fiction by Black and other authors of color while building meaningful connections through the power of storytelling.

Every other month, our Book Sisters gather for a new Volume to explore unforgettable stories, share different perspectives, and discover new authors together. At the beginning of each meeting month, you’ll receive The Bookmark, our signature newsletter with discussion questions, meeting details, book club updates, and more.

Welcome, Book Sisters! 🤎the very first gathering of Sisterhood Between the Pages.

My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite, is a darkly witty and suspenseful novel set in Nigeria. The story follows Korede, a nurse whose younger sister has a troubling habit of killing her boyfriends. As Korede finds herself repeatedly cleaning up the aftermath, she must grapple with questions of loyalty, morality, family, and self-preservation.

Together we'll discuss the novel's themes, characters, cultural context, and the choices that drive the story forward. Whether you loved the book, hated it, or found yourself somewhere in between, your perspective is welcome.

Discussion topics may include:
• Family loyalty and obligation
• Beauty, privilege, and perception
• Moral dilemmas and personal responsibility
• Sisterhood and complex relationships
• Nigerian culture and setting

Please come having read the book if possible and ready for thoughtful, respectful conversation.
