Paying 2026 Membership Dues

Hello all!

As I wrote in a message to the group, Meetup organiser membership now costs us almost £300 per year which is not affordable for us three organisers alone.

At the moment, we've been covering costs by asking attendees to bring £1 to each meetup, but this is quite annoying for everybody and makes it hard to predict if we'll cover our costs.

Instead, we're asking you to pay £5 for the year, which will cover all normal book club meetings and Silent Book Clubs. Please pay before March 1st 2026 or I'll sadly need to remove you from the group.

Please message me (Laura) to find out how to pay, or you can pay me directly if you already have my bank details. Once you have paid, please let me know by marking yourself as 'attending' this event and leaving me a note in the comments. I'll try and keep track of payments, but this would still be really helpful.

We will also be starting a WhatsApp group to keep up with book group chat, so if you'd like to join, please message your number to me (Laura) and I will add you!
