SRE Lunch: Modern day observability

Technology is becoming increasingly important within organisations. With that increasing importance comes a growing application landscape that we need to build and manage. To be in full control of our IT landscape we have to know whats going on.

To know the status of our applications, infrastructure and even the entire landscape we have a broad spectrum of tools we can use. Companies are using a plethora of monitoring, logging and tracing solutions to get a grip on the IT landscape, and to make sure customers are getting the best experience. However, we use a spectrum of observability tooling, often implemented by different teams in different domains, but how can we get a grip on everything?

During this lunch session Niek will briefly introduce you to trends and challenges in the domain of monitoring, observability and SRE. Allyson, CMO of StackState, will take us even deeper into the challenge of observability with a plethora of different information sources. We will wrap up with a short demo of StackState, partner of Xebia, which will show you a concrete way to structure information and have a realtime overview of your entire IT landscape. At the end of the session there is plenty of time for questions.
