Solr in Action!

Tim Braga will be presenting on Solr.

There has been a lot of hype around Solr, and for good reason. This presentation will walk you through a real-life Solr implementation from our GoCollette.com project. Tim will be showing you how to create a custom index, one that contains a list of Country Items from Sitecore, another that takes hundreds of items, does some computation and translates that into one document within the index. He will also be touching on computed fields, switching cores on rebuild, custom and built-in indexing strategies and custom crawlers. If there is time, we can decipher the Solr config file and take a look at the Solr admin. Grab your notepads and be prepared to be Solr excited!
