Save the Date - Next Sitefinity User Group on November 9th!

Hi everyone!

Please save the date for the next Chicago Sitefinity User Group Meeting!

The User Group will take place on Thursday, November 9th from 6:30-8:30pm.

We are trying out a new location this time to accommodate those working further into the city! We will be at TechNexus, located in the Civic Opera building.

Agenda

6:30pm-6:40pm -- Arrival & Introductions

6:40pm - 7:25pm -- "Adding Client Components to Feather Widget Designers"

During this presentation, we will be covering and demoing the usefulness of Feather client components. The primary focus is to steer away from text-box only widget designers and move into a more editor-friendly experience. The presentation will cover:

• Setting up custom designer files

• Overview of Sitefinity directives

• Saving changed data

• Adjusting backend code to accept JSON types

7:25pm-7:35pm -- Break

7:35pm-8:30pm-- "Tips & Tricks for Professional Personalization"

This presentation will cover the latest and greatest in personalization. During this session, we will cover:

• What is personalization?

• Overview of Sitefinity personalization capabilities

• What new personalization features are in Sitefinity 10.1?

• Where does Sitefinity DEC come into play?

• Examples and use cases of personalization

As with all user groups, food and beverages will be provided.

The purpose of the User Group is to allow Sitefinity users to come together and share their experiences with others. If there any additional topics you would like to discuss please let us know beforehand or feel free to mention them on the 9th. The agenda is flexible to accommodate attendee participation.
