Join SJAA Solar Astronomers in looking at our nearest star, the Sun.

Special solar telescopes allow us to view the Sun Safely and see sun spots (caused by magnetic storms) and Solar Flares, Prominences and occasionally Coronal Mass Ejections. Learn about our Magnetic Sun and how viewing in different wavelengths allows us to see truly Spectacular sights in real time, not just on Nova or PBS.

Rain or heavy clouds will force us to cancel this event.
