New Year's Eve Celebration Skate

DJ Freedom & Queen Martina present a very special "New Year's Eve Celebration Skate."

After months of research we landed a beautiful event space in Midwood, Brooklyn. It is NOT a roller rink but after testing the floor by skating on it, we can assure all of our members you are going to LOVE this space!

DJ Freedom, Skate Crates co-founder is going to provide our group the BEST mix of songs and sounds! R&B, Disco, House and "Skate Breaks" peppered with AfroBeat, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, Funk, Old School (70s, 80s, 90s) and party favorites....yes, we will cover a lot of ground and this is our LAST event of the year, so it's going to be special!

We don't normally impose a dress code but would like to see our skate family be as stylish and fly and they please!

Members will pay $20 in advance through a special link and everyone else (read: your guests and skaters and party goers NOT members) will pay $30.

Skate rentals will NOT be available, but if enough members request them we will figure it out!

There will be food available, prepared by our co-founder Martina (she's phenomenal in the kitchen!!). It will be a healthy presentation of delicious vegan & vegetarian delights. We are considering dessert as well-any requests?

We will also offer a small bar so NO OUTSIDE ALCOHOL!! Our security will NOT allow it in and NO we will not hold it for you!

We will offer reasonable drink packages (this IS Brooklyn after all). This post will be updated with that info.

Due to the size of this venue we will only allow up to 180 patrons, with up to 120 of them being skaters. If we sell all of our tickets there IS ANOTHER FLOOR that is exactly the same size!! So we can accommodate every member and their guests....but that will only happen if we sell out our initial tickets.

There will be a midnight toast and we will do a countdown and a prayer for a fruitful and prosperous 2023.

We would LOVE to see ALL of our members come out for this massive event.....and guess what else? We will be skating here every Friday in January with an occasional holiday Sunday (MLK Jr, Presidents Day).

Being a member of Skate Crates affords every member access to all of our events, but we will be implementing a paid subscription tier later this month. It will give you access to more events, our exclusive new podcast beginning this winter, discounted merchandise and discounted access to all of our out of town sessions, weekend retreats (we are doing 2 so far in 2023) and our first bi-annual Roller Skate Music Marathon next May 2023 in NYC (the sequel will take place in Atlanta October 2023).
