JPL Open House Field Trip

Details
JPL's annual Open House weekend is coming up fast. It's free, with lots of info booths, demos, exhibits, tours, etc. We'll be going on Sunday, May 16th, so mark your calendars now! This year JPL will
probably get about 50 thousand visitors total.
Most of the Open House will be outdoors, but some of it will be indoors. It's sort of like going to a swap meet: you can see as much or as little as you like. There will be lots of walking, because JPL
has many dozens of buildings. Lots of low hills, too, because it's right up against the foothills. Shuttle buses will run all day, but -- as with any big event -- the buses can't always keep up with the
crowds, so walking around is generally best. For more information about the Open House, please see:

The details are still to be arranged, but the general plan is this:
- Some people will rendezvous at Rick's apartment in Pasadena before carpooling to JPL. Others, particularly those who live far away, will go directly to JPL. Whatever's most convenient for you is fine with us.
If you'd like to meet at Rick's, or try to figure out how to meet the group once you arrive at the open house, please contact Rick at: phoenix271828@gmail.com
- Our arrival time at JPL will be 10am. That will give us a few hours to see the sights before heading back to Pasadena for lunch at about 2pm.
And don't miss JPL's "Stump A Scientist" booth. Start thinking up your questions now!
