Garrison holds and MDiv/MSW from Yale Divinity School and Columbia University School of Social Work and is the author of nine books including the award winning Distilled in Washington: A History (The History Press, 2024) and Roger Williams's Little Book of Virtues (Wipf & Stock, 2020). Her recent writing credits include work for Spirituality & Health, Only Sky, Religion Dispatches, Good Faith Media, Beverage Master/The Grapevine Magazine, Northwest Travel & Life, Edible Seattle, The Alcohol Professor, and SIP.
