Reboot: Restarting the Hong Kong Skeptics in the Pub

Details
As in Carl Sagan's famous book "The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark", a new light is coming to Hong Kong.
Our last public event was in August 2019, over three years ago, and it’s fair to say that quite a lot has happened between then and now (you all lived through it, so no need to explain).
During this time many of us have been desperately missing something, which arguably is needed more now than ever. Somewhere where ideas can be discussed and examined honestly, based on their merits, free from logical fallacies, fake news and conspiracy theories. Where education and expertise is not dismissed and learning is valued. A place for rational conversation, evidence based thinking and scientific skepticism. As the "Skeptics Guide to the Universe" calls it: "An escape to reality".
That place is back with our first in-person MeetUp in a long time: at 7pm on Tuesday, 7th March, at The Globe in Soho, Central, Hong Kong.
This first event will be a casual social MeetUp to enjoy good food and drinks together. There will be no fixed topic or speaker, but we are looking for old and new members of the Hong Kong Skeptics to come out and show their support. We are also looking for new people to step up and get involved to help run and guide us in this new chapter of the Hong Kong Skeptics.
So sign up now and spread the word – We're Back!
