How Bitcoin Works - A Technical Introduction to Blockchains (NOT a shill event!)

Details
With so much hype and so many scams in the world of crypto currencies, how can you learn about blockchains without being bombarded with misinformation? Come along to Skeptics in the Pub!
After first featuring Bitcoin back in 2016, Hong Kong Skeptics in the Pub goes back to basics with a (beginner friendly!) technical overview of how Bitcoin and blockchains work and how they fit into the context of distributed computing. No hype, no selling, just technical information about how it works.
Fab will cover topics including Sybil-resistance, e.g. Proof of Work (PoW), and consensus algorithms, e.g. Longest Chain Rule (LCR).
Note: This will be the first of two educational Blockchain related events with a follow up on May 6th, which will go further once you're armed with the basics from this introduction. So don't miss either event!
Please RSVP if you can make it!
